I’m Junior.
Today’s big question is about traveling.
I’m talking to Cindy.
She’s a flight attendant who travels all over the world.
So, Cindy, what’s the farthest place you’ve been?
Hi, Junior.
The farthest place I’ve been is Australia.
It’s on a different continent,
very far from here.
Wow, that’s really far.
Did you like it there?
Yes, I loved it.
Australia is beautiful.
I saw kangaroos and went to the beach every day.
But didn’t you get homesick?
I get homesick when I sleep at my friend’s house.
Well, yes, I did get a little homesick after two weeks.
I missed my family and my own bed.
So you went all the way to another continent just to miss home?
That’s like walking to the ice cream store just to think about cookies.
When you put it that way, it does sound a bit silly,
but traveling helps us see new things.
But you can see new things on TV and you can sleep in your own bed.
You know what, Junior?
Sometimes I wonder why I pack all those bags just to miss my couch.
Maybe next time you should just travel to your backyard.
It’s close and you won’t get homesick.
That’s actually not a bad idea.
A backyard vacation sounds perfect.
