I visited Heathrow Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world.

There, I met Emma, who works for an airline.
そこで、航空会社で働くエマに会いました。

I’ve worked for six different airlines, and I love the lively sounds of airports.

The airport was so full of sounds.

I heard people chatting, wheels rolling, and the voice of announcements everywhere.

It sounds like a giant orchestra.
まるで巨大なオーケストラみたいでしょう。
Travelers move quickly, and announcements guide people to flights or passport control.
旅行者たちは足早に移動し、アナウンスが搭乗口や出入国審査へ案内してくれます。

I also heard the sounds of suitcases being zipped and phones ringing.
スーツケースのファスナーを閉める音や、電話が鳴る音も聞こえました。
It was like a busy city inside.
空港の中に、にぎやかな街があるようでした。
エマ：
Airlines use announcements to keep travelers informed.
航空会社は旅行者に情報を伝えるためにアナウンスを使います。
They let people know when flights are landing or boarding.
飛行機の到着や搭乗開始の時間を知らせてくれるんです。
ビー：
The food courts were noisy too.
フードコートもにぎやかでした。
People laughed, ordered meals, and drank beverages like coffee or pineapple juice.
人々は笑いながら食事を注文し、コーヒーやパイナップルジュースなどの飲み物を楽しんでいました。
エマ：
Every sound in the airport has a purpose.
空港の音には、それぞれ役割があります。
From shuttles arriving to planes landing, it keeps everything organized.
シャトルの到着から飛行機の着陸まで、さまざまな音が空港全体をスムーズに動かしているんです。
ビー：
Airports are like puzzles, full of moving pieces.
空港は、たくさんのピースが動き続けるパズルのようです。
It was my first time noticing how it all comes together.
