It’s Saturday morning. Eddy knocks on Junior’s bedroom door.
土曜日の朝です。エディはジュニアの部屋のドアをノックします。
Eddy: Junior! It’s laundry day! Bring me your dirty clothes!
エディ：ジュニア！今日は洗濯の日だ！汚れた服を持ってきなさい！
Junior: I don’t have any dirty clothes, Dad.
ジュニア：汚れた服なんてないよ、お父さん。
Eddy: You don’t have any dirty clothes? You’re eight. You always have dirty clothes.
エディ：汚れた服がないだって？お前は8歳だぞ。いつだって汚れた服はあるはずだ。
Junior: Not anymore. I’m very clean now. I’m growing up.
ジュニア：もう違うよ。今はとてもきれい好きなんだ。僕も成長してるからね。
Eddy opens the door. Junior’s room is perfectly clean.
エディはドアを開けます。ジュニアの部屋は完璧に片付いていました。
Eddy: Wow. Junior… there’s nothing on the floor.

Junior: I know. I take care of things now.

Eddy: My little boy is growing up so fast…

Junior: Dad, please don’t open the closet.
ジュニア：お父さん、お願いだからクローゼットは開けないで。
Eddy opens the closet. A mountain of dirty clothes falls out onto the floor.
エディがクローゼットを開けると、山のような汚れた服が床に雪崩れ落ちました。
Eddy: Junior!
エディ：ジュニア！
Junior: OK, OK. I can explain. I didn’t want to do laundry, so I put everything in there.
ジュニア：わかった、わかった。説明するよ。洗濯したくなかったから、全部そこへ押し込んだんだ。
Eddy: That’s two weeks of clothes in there!
エディ：そこには2週間分の服が入ってるじゃないか！
Junior: I’ll give you twenty dollars to do it for me.
ジュニア：20ドル払うから、代わりに洗濯してよ。
Eddy: Twenty dollars? … No! We’re doing this together!
エディ：20ドル？……いやダメだ！一緒に洗濯するぞ！
Junior: Thirty?
ジュニア：30ドルなら？
Eddy: Junior, we’re doing the laundry. Together. Right now.
エディ：ジュニア、今すぐ一緒に洗濯をするんだ。一緒にな。
Junior: Forty is my final offer, Dad.
ジュニア：40ドルが最後の条件だよ、お父さん。
