Learning a new language is like going on an adventure every day.

You discover new words and meet new people.
新しい単語に出会い、新しい人たちとも出会えます。
I went to a big language school in London.
私はロンドンにある大きな語学学校を訪れました。
There I spoke with Marilyn, who teaches English to students from many countries.
そこで、さまざまな国の生徒に英語を教えているマリリン先生にお話を伺いました。
マリリン：
We have students from 50 different countries here.
この学校には50か国から生徒が来ています。
They come to learn English for work, travel, or just for fun.
仕事や旅行のため、あるいは純粋に楽しみながら英語を学ぶために来ています。
ビー：
Wow, 50 countries.
わあ、50か国ですか。
That’s amazing.
すごいですね。
The school was so busy and full of energy.
学校はとても活気にあふれていました。
マリリン：
Our students start at different levels.
生徒はそれぞれ異なるレベルから学び始めます。
Some are beginners, some are intermediate, and some are advanced.
初心者もいれば、中級者、上級者もいます。
Everyone learns at their own speed.
みんな自分のペースで学んでいます。
ビー：
I saw students in the intermediate class.
私は中級クラスの生徒たちを見学しました。
They were working so hard.
みんな本当に一生懸命勉強していました。
They were reading books and talking to each other in English.
本を読んだり、お互いに英語で会話したりしていました。
マリリン：
Every day, students do written exercises and speaking practice.
毎日、筆記練習とスピーキング練習を行います。
Writing helps them remember new words better.
書くことで新しい単語をより覚えやすくなるんです。
ビー：
The students I met were so friendly.
私が出会った生徒たちはとても親切でした。
They told me about their favorite parts of learning English.
英語学習の好きなところも教えてくれました。
Many of them love watching movies in English.
英語で映画を見るのが好きな人がたくさんいました。
マリリン：
At the end of each week, we review everything together.
毎週の終わりには、みんなでその週の内容を復習します。
Students help each other remember what they learned.
生徒同士で学んだことを思い出せるよう助け合っています。
It’s like a fun game.
まるで楽しいゲームのようですよ。
ビー：
After visiting this school, I want to learn a new language too.
この学校を訪れて、私も新しい言語を学びたくなりました。
Maybe Japanese or French?
日本語かフランス語かな？
Or both.
それとも両方かもしれません。
