Lin is lying on the couch, groaning.
リンはソファに横になって、うめき声を上げています。

Lucy walks in carrying groceries.
ルーシーが食料品を抱えて入ってきます。

ルーシー:
What happened to you?
どうしたの?

リン:
Everything hurts.
全身が痛いよ。

My arms, my legs, my back.
腕も、脚も、背中も。

I think I’m dying.
死にそう。

ルーシー:
What did you do?
何をしたの?

リン:
I helped someone move a piano up four flights of stairs yesterday.
昨日、誰かがピアノを4階分の階段で運び上げるのを手伝ったんだ。

ルーシー:
Why?
なんで?

リン:
She offered me free pizza.
無料でピザをくれるって言ったから。

It was really good pizza, Grandma.
すごくおいしいピザだったんだよ、おばあちゃん。

ルーシー:
You carried a piano up four flights of stairs for pizza.
ピザのために、ピアノを4階分も階段で運んだのね。

But you won’t fill out one job application.
なのに、求人への応募書類は1枚も書こうとしないのね。

リン:
Those are different things.
それとこれとは別だよ。

ルーシー:
Lin, if you got a degree, you could have a job that doesn’t wreck your body.
リン、学位を取れば、体をボロボロにしない仕事に就けるのよ。

リン:
I don’t need a degree.
学位なんていらないよ。

I just need something for this soreness.
この筋肉痛に効くものがあればいいんだ。

Lucy takes Lin to the pharmacy down the street.
ルーシーはリンを通りの先にある薬局へ連れていきます。

リン:
Hey, do you have anything for sore muscles?
ねえ、筋肉痛に効くものはある?

Something strong.
強いやつ。

店員:
We have a few options on aisle three.
3番通路にいくつかありますよ。

The cheapest one is twenty-two dollars.

リン:
Twenty-two dollars?

Grandma, let’s go.

I’ll buy it.

リン:

リン:
Do employees get free stuff?

店員:
We get a discount on everything in the store.
店の商品は全部、従業員割引になります。

リン:
Grandma, forget the class.
おばあちゃん、授業のことは忘れて。

I just found my career.
やりたい仕事が見つかったよ。

ルーシー:
That is not a degree, Lin.
それは学位じゃないわよ、リン。

リン:
It’s a degree in free muscle cream.
無料の筋肉痛クリームを極めるための学位だよ。
