Lucy: Oh, good. What was your favorite part?

Lucy: Lin. You didn’t read it.
ルーシー：リン、あなた読んでないわね。
Lin: I started it! I read the first page.

Lucy: The first page?
ルーシー：最初のページだけ？
Lin: OK, the first sentence. Then I fell asleep. Your couch is too comfortable, Grandma. That’s your fault.
リン：じゃあ最初の一文。読んだら寝ちゃったんだ。おばあちゃんのソファが快適すぎるんだよ。それがおばあちゃんのせい。
Lucy: My fault? I wrote that chapter for three months!
ルーシー：私のせい？その章を書くのに3か月もかかったのよ！
Lin: I’m sorry. I’ll read it tonight. I promise.

Lucy: You know, maybe you should read it. Because the chapter is about you.

Lin: Because it’s a perfect sandwich! OK, give me the chapter again. I want to know what you said about me.
リン：だって完璧なサンドイッチなんだもん！わかった、その章もう一回貸して。私のことをどう書いたのか知りたい。
Lucy: Finish the whole thing this time.
ルーシー：今度は最後までちゃんと読みなさい。
Lin: I will. But if I fall asleep, it’s the couch’s fault.
リン：読むよ。でもまた寝ちゃったら、そのときはソファのせいだからね。
