Eddy has invited Bea over to help him prepare for a date tonight. There are three small containers on the table.
エディは今夜のデートの準備を手伝ってもらうために、ビーを家に呼びました。テーブルの上には小さな容器が3つあります。
Bea: OK, Eddy. What are we working with tonight?
ビー：さて、エディ。今夜は何を用意してるの？
Eddy: I ordered a fancy delivery from a French restaurant!
エディ：フランス料理店から高級なデリバリーを注文したんだ！
Bea: A French restaurant? Eddy, I’m impressed! No pizza this time?
ビー：フランス料理店？ エディ、感心したよ！ 今回はピザじゃないんだ？
Eddy: No pizza. I want to be a new Eddy tonight. A fancy Eddy.
エディ：ピザじゃないよ。今夜は新しいエディになりたいんだ。高級なエディに。
Bea: OK, what did you order?
ビー：それで、何を注文したの？
Eddy: I don’t know. The menu was in French, so I just picked the most expensive things.

Bea: Eddy! You can’t just pick random things from a menu!

Eddy: Why not? Expensive means good, right?

Eddy opens the first container.
エディは最初の容器を開けます。
Bea: That’s three strawberries on a plate. That’s it. Just three strawberries.
ビー：お皿にイチゴが3つあるだけだね。それだけ。イチゴ3つだけ。
Eddy: That cost twelve dollars!
エディ：それ12ドルしたんだよ！
Eddy opens the second container.
エディは2つ目の容器を開けます。
Bea: That’s a tiny piece of fish. It’s the size of my thumb, Eddy.
ビー：小さな魚の切れ端だね。私の親指くらいの大きさだよ、エディ。
Eddy: It smells good, right? OK, container number three. This is the big one. It was thirty dollars.
エディ：いい匂いでしょ？ よし、3つ目の容器だ。これが本命だよ。30ドルしたんだ。
Eddy opens the last container and looks inside.

Eddy: Bea, why are there snails in my food?
エディ：ビー、なんで僕の料理にカタツムリが入ってるの？
Bea: That’s escargot! It’s a French dish. You ordered snails, Eddy.
ビー：それはエスカルゴだよ！ フランス料理なの。あなたはカタツムリを注文したんだよ、エディ。
Eddy: I can’t give my date snails! She’ll think I’m crazy!
エディ：デート相手にカタツムリなんて出せないよ！ 僕がおかしいと思われちゃう！
Bea: Yeah, your date probably does not want to eat snails. Just order pizza.
ビー：そうだね。デート相手もたぶんカタツムリは食べたくないと思う。ピザを注文しなよ。
Eddy: But I wanted to be fancy Eddy tonight!
エディ：でも今夜は高級なエディになりたかったんだ！
Bea: Eddy, she said yes to a date with you. She likes regular Eddy. Order the pizza.
ビー：エディ、彼女はあなたとのデートにイエスと言ったんだよ。普通のエディが好きなんだよ。ピザを注文して。
Eddy: You’re right. Fancy Eddy is cancelled. Pizza Eddy is back!
エディ：その通りだね。高級エディは中止。ピザエディ復活だ！
